Marco and I worked alongside each other on several releases for Company of Heroes 3. His passion for the franchise showed through every feature he worked on, and his work ethic was inspiring.
I can’t count the number of times someone asked, “Who owns this feature?” only to hear, “Marco” as the response. His ability to support and guide multiple teams at once allowed many features at Relic to succeed. He was often an advocate for doing things the right way and pushed us to raise our quality bar.
It was a pleasure working with Marco; his skill set would be valuable to any team, and I hope our paths cross again in the future!
Marco is an absolute pleasure to work with. Marco balances idealism and pragmatism in a way that creates a fantastic player experience. His idealism presents a vision for the future that the team can get excited about, while his practical side finds ways to separate the master plan into manageable pieces that can be released in phases. This has allowed the team to release quality work in stages, incorporate feedback, and continue to improve features in subsequent releases.
His personable good nature, combined with a collaborative team-minded approach is very effective. I always look forward to working with Marco.

Marco joined relic to work on Company of Heroes 3 as a Gameplay Designer and has been a great addition to the team. Marco has extensive knowledge of the franchise – having been a prominent member of the community for a decade including building supporting websites for ranking, information sharing, and tournaments.
While at Relic Marco’s game design skills – both on paper and with technical implementation – have grown by leaps and bounds. He is fully capable of owning a feature or cluster of features from initial concept through implementation and tuning. Over his time on the project Marco spread his design talent from working on individual units and abilities to being feature owned for major features involving UX/UI, Server Infrastructure, and Community. During an difficult times Marco is also someone that brings a positive attitude and high energy to work every single day, helping rally the team to overcome adversity.
I would be happy to work with Marco again on any project.
Working with Marco was a pleasure. He was eager to learn the gameplay systems on our project, and did so quickly despite their quirks. Methodical in his approach to solving problems, with a clear drive to improve every area he worked on, Marco made a positive impact on our team in a short time. Even during challenging circumstances, his calm demeanor and ability to bring others together to problem solve were invaluable. I hope to have the opportunity to work with Marco again in the future.
